## Choose a voice

Open the agent's configuration and choose one of the available voice options. Select a voice that fits the caller's context and remains clear on a phone speaker.

Voice is selected per agent and is set when the live session starts. Run a short test after changing it so you can judge the sound through the actual phone path.

Select the voice and tune the call environment as part of agent setup.

## Set the language

Choose the language that matches the caller and the business workflow. If multilingual behavior is enabled for the agent, test code-switching and names that are common in your audience.

Do not assume the browser preview proves carrier quality. The real phone test is the final check for pronunciation, pace, and audio delivery.

## Tune turn-taking

| Control | What it changes |
| --- | --- |
| Patience | How long the model waits through caller silence before responding. Raise it when callers pause or speak slowly. |
| Interruption Sensitivity | How much caller speech is needed before the agent gives up its turn. Lower it if short backchannels such as hmm interrupt the agent. |
| Speech Speed | A plain-language pacing instruction to the model. It is not an exact playback-rate multiplier. |
| Ambient sound | An optional background bed mixed under the agent's voice. Turn it off for a quiet conversation. |

## Listen before launch

> **Test both channels:** Compare the browser voice playground with a Quick Call. A phone test checks the real carrier audio path and handset playback.
